About Heavy Duty Membranes
Heavy Duty Memrbanes (Geo Composites) are peel and stick waterproofing membranes designed specifically as a moisture barrier. They prevent water permeation through pavement surfaces and subsequent damage that moisture causes. Geo Composites are high caliper and use a full modified SBS asphalt mastic applied to a non-woven polyester geotextile.
Geo Composites are particularly suited for the following applications:
- Centerline and Shoulder Joints prior to Overlay
- Waterproofing Highways
- Bridge Decks
Uses For Geo Composites
Geo Composites will effectively retard and control reflective cracking in asphalt overlays by dispersing stress induced by thermal expansion and contraction.
